I bigged the run up too much didn't I? We deserved the doom filled black Wednesday, the head injury and the smallest audience yet. After looking at the numbers from last year it has been a much slower first week as we thought but the shows have probably been more fun and better received which is obviously a good thing ability wise but not a great thing bucket wise.
  1. Aussies Michael O’Grady and Benjamin Shannon at the final table of Event #1 of the 2020 Australian Poker Open. Local hero Benjamin Shannon was then knocked out in fourth place. Shannon entered the tournament after parlaying a $250 satellite into a larger satellite which sent him into this $10,000 event.

I'll get board of saying it soon but basically the spotlight fell from the ceiling and hit me on the head when Mike was starting the show, much blood later I went on stage and did about 20 minutes before I decided that I needed a lay down. As a result I didn't do or see anymore shows yesterday, I just bought some Chinese food and went to bed. Classic Wednesday!

So it's back to the flyering grind and I'll be borrowing a hard hat from the builders across the street just in case any more lights have it out for me during the rest of the run. I'll be back pokering tonight hopefully, Walt arrives tomorrow and I'm stuck but his words of encouragement will surely sort that out! An incredibly niche in-joke there. Here is the 48 Minutes, Another poster.

Hopping for a strong second week now, 7 shows in and 18 to go. Mike will be performing another 9 then 9 solos for me. Good prep for me we shall see, bring on the flyer receiving people who do not want to receive flyers. YOU DO REALLY GUYS!!

Phil Mighall, Charlie Godwin, Sander van Wesemael, Hannah Swales, Ben Shannon and Russell Betts were just a few names to be eliminated during the 12 40-minute levels.

In terms of action, Kelly Saxby's stack came largely down to her winning an all in with pocket-jacks against the ace-king of Nathan Farnaby. The players got all of their chips into the middle preflop after Saxby had called a five-bet jam from Farnaby. The queen-three-six-deuce-ten board was enough for her to hold and propel her chip-count.
